Placenta Encapsulation & Tinctures

As a certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist, I won't simply be processing your placenta into capsules, I will also offer postpartum assistance and care. As a certified postpartum doula, while I am performing and processing your placenta, I will also be available assist with any postpartum needs while I am in the home. 

Should you require or would like additional postpartum care, we can discuss personalized packages and hours during this time. 

 

ENCAPSULATION PROCESS

 

I will process the placenta using Ancient Chinese methods. These methods include: 

1. draining and cleaning the placenta

2. steaming the placenta with lemon and ginger

3. dehydrating the placenta over night 

4. and finally grinding the dehydrated placenta into a powder that will placed into vegan caplets. 

 

 

PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION & TINCTURES 

 

FLUTTER PACKAGE $350

Includes encapsulation, umbilical cord keepsake, and an imprint of the placenta that can be framed or enhanced however you wish. 

 

Enhancements to the preservation of the umbilical cord and the placenta imprint can be discussed during the initial consultation, however depending on what is asked for there may be an additional fee that could range from $5 to $200. 

 

 

MIGRATION PACKAGE $100 - $300

This package is to provide the necessary items for the client to transfer the placenta from the hospital to the home.

PLEASE NOTE: the client will be responsible for transporting the placenta from the hospital to the home. If supplies are needed for transport, we can discuss the options of either myself putting them together for you to take on the day of your delivery, or provide a list.

The placenta is a temporary endocrine organ, which is unique to each mother and baby

The first known mention of placenta consumption dates back to the 16th-centurty medical text the Compendium of Materia Medica. It states that when a person has a baby, the placenta is eaten. 

Chinese medicine has used the placenta to treat a variety of ailments for more than 1400 years. 

In Japan, placentas are also used in medicine to build the immune system, treat heart attacks and blood clots. 

In the US, the use of the placenta as a medicine is not recognized by law, meaning that individuals who wish to their placenta as a medicinal remedy must create the remedy themselves.

In the 1970's, a Russian physician, developed a medical treatment for cancer that utilized placental tissues administered via injection. This therapy is now used all over the world.
