Hello & Welcome!

CCA hand in hair 1_edited.jpg

I am very grateful that you are visiting my website and interested in my services. I have lived in the Phoenix Valley since 2012 and although I am certain I will never get used to our summers, I must say that Arizona has been pretty great to me over the years.

Arizona is where I met and married my husband and where our family has multiplied several times over. To include, our 3 outrageous pups: Nala, Bo Jackson, and Moira Rose.

My entrance into the doula world is a bit different from most. No more important or interesting, just different. I was led to this beautiful profession out of crippling grief and a loving obsession with my family, which I will go into below.

My Story

Not very long ago, my older sister, was taken from us when an impaired driver swerved into her lane and hit her head on.

Kip was a Labor and Delivery Nurse and a Force of Nature. She loved everything that had to do with health and wellness and how health and wellness affected all things baby.  Not to mention, she was the lifeblood of our family. Her energy and excitement for life and experiences, especially with her family, has made it incredibly difficult to move on without her, but through her desire to be the best she could, she has inspired everyone she ever came in contact with to want to be a better, kinder, more loving, and adventurous.

Several months after losing my sister, love would have it, my little sister found out that she was pregnant. Now, I can't say what her first thoughts were, but I can tell you that after the initial wave of excitement, my heart sank when I realized the inevitable...My little sister would be giving birth without our older sister in the room and coaching her.

And this is where my journey to being a doula truly began.

While on the phone with my little sister, I'm not sure why, but the word DOULA popped in my head and shot out of my mouth. "I'll be your doula!!" I think we were both just as shocked that I suggested it and that I even knew what a doula was. To be honest...I had almost no idea; just that they had something to do with the birthing process at some point.

That night, I googled doula training, and registered for my very first Labor and Birth Doula Training.

And whoa!! The training blew my mind. I fell in love and realized why my sister was so crazy and passionate about this work. Once I was done with that training, I wanted to know more, learn more, and find other ways to help. So, I registered for Postpartum Doula Training...Yeah! totally blew my mind too.

At that point, I became obsessed with the health and wellness of both the birthing person and baby...and registered for training to become a Postpartum Placenta Encapsulation Specialist.

As a doula, I will provide complete emotional and physical support for families before, during, and after birth.
